Help with stem repair on a cob

I have a country gentlemen that has a warped stem and will not stay put in the shank. I was thinking of adding a little super glue. Is this a good idea? Any better suggestions?

Sounds a bit permanent...
Elmer's white glue would be my first try.

I always use Elmer's when I mod cobs, it works great. If I'm not mistaken MM uses it to attach the stems, and if I am wrong it's still a good solution.

If that didn't work for you, "forever stems" have been a go-to for me. I'm a tight "clencher" and alway bite through the soft cobb stems... the forever stems don't allow for a filter, but come in a variety of colors and styles letting you "pimp out" your cobb. And they're reasonably cheap to boot.
